Martial Art Programs at our Training Facility.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Gi) - This class focuses on learning and applying the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while wearing a traditional gi or kimono. This class will cater to all levels; however, it is a perfect class for beginners because a significant amount of the class-time is spent conducting technique drills. Classes will focus on the basic offensive and defensive maneuvers while explaining the primary strategies and goals of the sport. Most techniques involve both grapplers on the mat. The main goal is to work toward positional dominance leading to a submission. A typical class includes 15 minutes of warm-up and calisthenics with the fundamental techniques of Jiu-Jitsu, followed by 15 minutes of technique drills, and then 30 minutes of sparring with a willing partner who is trying to submit you. A gi is required.
Muay Thai Kickboxing - This class focuses on teaching Muay Thai kickboxing techniques while striking pads and focus mitts with punches, kicks, knees, and elbows.
Muay Thai kickboxing methods develop devastating power and speed as well as superb cardiovascular endurance. Muay Thai kickboxing is as also quite safe thanks to the sophisticated pads utilized. A typical class includes 15 minutes of light punching and kicking on focus mitts, followed by 15 minutes of punching and kicking on Thai pads, followed by 30 minutes of interval training using heavy bags, partner drills, etc.
The emphasis in these classes is to keep moving, have fun, and get a great workout.
*Proper attire is required including groin protector, shin pads, kickboxing gloves, mouthpiece, shirt, and shorts.
NOTE: Muscle and Fitness magazine rated kickboxing as the number one fat burner with over 800 calories burned in a one-hour class!

Submission Grappling - (Freestyle) This class focuses on applying traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques without wearing a traditional gi or kimono.
It is recommended that students interested in no-gi grappling be well versed in traditional gi Jiu-Jitsu before attending; however, it is not mandatory.
Classes will focus on teaching falls, escapes, positioning, leverage, and opening the guard as well as sweeps, submissions, and counters. A typical class includes 15 minutes of warm-up and calisthenics, followed by 15 minutes of technique drills, and then 30 minutes of light sparring with a willing partner who is trying to submit you. No-gi classes are excellent for learning real-world self-defense and ground fighting strategies while appealing to all student types and abilities.
